Another Monday another week begins. All this marks the end of my sabbatical which looms large. I should prolly be back in the Corporate world by August or September. Depressing. Anyway had gone to see a documentary on the Narmada Valley Fiasco on Saturday thanks to Rikhav. The film was very boring but the cause is certainly worth supporting. As a lay individual I get the feeling of helplessness which they expressed. The fact that the dam is now built but there is no sign of any compensation as promised and committed by the various Governments in various courts and other forums. It just doesn't come across in the film. Far more convincing was Sanjay Kak the film maker when he took questions from the audience.I just wish that could have been reflected in the film. Anyway the website to check how u can get screwed by the government is http://www.narmada.org. It's amazing what all logic politicians come up with when there is money to be made.....
