I'm off to one of my less favorite locations soon. Attending a Friends Wedding. Somehow whenever I tell my mother about another friend getting married she gets this look of infinite sadness on her face. I suppose she wonder when either of her sons are going to get married. Anyway increasingly the news is not about people getting married but people having kids. This thing of expectations is what I hate about life. Your expected to get married and then over and above that you have to have kids. Next be a responsible parent for the kids by being a good example. All this only means u can't do what u want when u want. Better to short circuit the entire process and not get married at all. On other things I wonder if the land of the long white cloud refers to the table if Rikhav and Kamal are smoking. (Me being the occassional smoker do not count).

I've started doing weights at the gym. Increasingly what I notice is that I feel the need to lift larger weights. Also when I run - Run at higher speeds and longer durations. This is so contrary to my normal behaviour I wonder if I am becoming a gym rat. Then I realise that this behaviour is enhanced when there are women around. Phew this is the normal male behaviour of trying to impress women with their physical prowess. But it disturbs me that even I with my bumblebee physique want to make myself attractive to women. So perhaps I am turning into a gym rat.

Another Monday another week of watching people work. I suppose I should enjoy this while it lasts. I should really start looking for work. I don't know how many of you are aware but the Times Of India has started charging companies for printing articles which the company wants printed. Before some of you start going up in arms saying this is ridiculous and sanctity of editorial and blah blah blah - Most Indian publications do it. Yeah fine they might not say it upfront but most of them do it. All the Times has done is to be upfront about it. I'm not a great fan of the Times but I like this move. I as a reader tend to trust the Times even less thereby reducing the relevance the editorial has. This also makes advertisers wary since the reason why they want articles and not advertising is editorial is more trusted. At least I know that when I read the Times that some of the content is not quite what it seems.
