I wonder why people get defensive around friends. Friends are supposed to be people whom you trust and with whom you can be who you are. Any criticism that you get from your friends is and should be taken in the best possible way.But somehow people pretend even with friends. Especially friends who had been working with you it becomes some sort of competitive game as to who does better. When I meet my ex agency friends I keep wondering who are they trying to impress ? On the other hand why do people compete ? What is this urge to do better ? Shouldn't your hapiness levels with your life be determined by yourself ? Why do we let external factors dictate our happiness levels ?

The movie is never as good as the book and the made for TV adaptation is even worse. I saw "A Year in Provence" yesterday but it is so boringggg. Not a patch on the book. The books is both funny and critical the TV series is just awful. The Lakers lost and all my teams seem to be losing. I think after a great year last year all my teams are back to Normal. Oh well, Oh well, Oh well.

I have the shoes, I got the towels, I did the water bottle now please God let me continue going to Gym. Been a couple of days there but thankfully no major disasters yet. Hopefully I will have the gumption and the strength to continue going. On Other topics - The Aussies finally lost to the Windies in cricket. A most thrilling match. The Lakers are fighting back and are now 2-3 v the Spurs. Hmm my blog seems to becoming more sports scores and movie updates than my life story. You guys are all so lucky u don't have to hear about it. I've lived it and fell asleep....

Hmm I haven't posted for the last 2 days. How time flies when you're having fun. Seriously though the urge to write is so much lesser nowadays. The last 2 days have been fun. Did a lot of cycling and watched 3 (Count them 3) movies. 1 Tamil Movie and 1 English movie. Plus one all time great movie. Formula 51 is a nice park your brains and don't bother kind of movie. Slickly made and a complete time pass. I also saw and keep seeing Blues Brothers. That is a classic. For me BB was the first exposure to a lot of blues artists. In a way it sparked off a deeper interest in the genre. Now when I see it I keep getting amazed. It makes no pretensions to being realistic or even remotely believeable but at the same time it's not completely over the top. Also today was the first day of gym. I am the most out of shape person there. Bummer.
